I want to enjoy the rest of my life and to make the most of it.  I believe that staying physically fit is a big part of that.  I want to continue to run for the rest of my life and enjoy it.

Personal:

I'm from good ol' Hurricane, UT, but I currently live in Glendale, AZ where I am attending medical school at Midwestern University.  I am married with 1 kid at the moment.  I love to run, and despise treadmills, but here they are currently a necessity.

Today was a bit of an adventure.  First off I learned not to go to Texas Roadhouse the evening before a longer run.  It just makes it hard for about the first 4 miles.

Also today disaster struck around mile 6.  I was running near Merlin Olsen Park when my ankle suddenly inverted badly and I went down.  It took me a few minutes to assess the damage and get up.  After walking home, I went to the Instacare and got a few X-rays.  Looks like i've got a nice sprain.  They said I should be okay to run on it now, but to take it easy for a few days.  I'm glad it isn't worse.  I'm within 10 weeks of the marathon.  I can't lose it now.

I sprained my ankle bad in 09'. It took a week or two but I was able to run on it. Just take it easy and you'll be fine. The Doc gave me an air cast to wear around each day for 2 weeks, I could run with it on as well. I think they help speed up healing personally. Good luck and no worries!

I got pretty lucky. They gave me a lace up splint and told me to take it easy for a couple of weeks. I walk pretty well now, but running will be a trick. I'm just glad it wasn't fractured or a worse sprain. It was quite a fall.

That's a bummer dude. You'll recover though.
